Disabled Veterans Integrated Facility Services, LLC (www.dv-ifs.com) requires the services (subcontractor, contract consultant or contract employee) of competent person on an AdamsCountyPennsylvania site full time (40+ hours/week) to function as the Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO).
This Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) is required to have a substantial knowledge of Industrial Hygiene, due to the unique working conditions presented. The SSHO shall be on duty at all times when work is being performed and shall be responsible for enforcing and implementing the Contactor’s Safety and Health Program in accordance with the accepted Accident Prevention Plan. The SSHO will at a minimum have 5 years experience managing hazardous construction projects. The SSHO will have documented competence in NIOSH air sampling techniques. The SSHO shall be familiar with EM 385 1-1, 29 CFR 1926, as well as the relevant 29 CFR 1910 standards as applicable to the nature of the project. The SSHO will be responsible for monitoring all project related activities to ensure that the all emissions generated do not exceed the published action levels of ACGIH TLV’s, OSHA PEL’s, or NIOSH level whichever is more stringent. The SSHO will also have completed at a minimum the OSHA 10 hour Construction Safety class within the last 3 years.
